After a long wait, Once an Eagle has been released on DVD. http://www.timelessvideo.com/dvds/onceaneagle.html The copy I have has some minor glitches, but otherwise is about an 8 in video and 8 in audio.

shareI've searched for The Last Convertible for years. I had a VHS tape of the miniseries at one point, but it deteriorated to the point of being useless.
shareI had a long weekend and watched ONCE nonstop with only two bathroom timeouts. What a time! I had completely forgotten about Clu Gulager's villainy and seeing a fresh-faced Melanie Griffith really took me back. I know Darlene Carr has pretty much become a voice actress, but Cliff Potts seems to have disappeared. He was conveyed Massengale's oiliness and treachery to a T. And I had definitely forgotten about Courtney's personal "problem." Is that problem explained in the book?
BTW, THE LAST CONVERTIBLE does exist on DVD in the "gray market."
