Once An Eagle DVD set edited?

I have heard that this dvd release has been pretty severely cut, with 2 hours removed. Can anyone clarify?

I bought it on Amazon and just watched it. It's the entire and complete miniseries as aired originally. Uncut and unedited.

I read the original goes to Viet Nam ... where my DVD ended in the hanger during WW2
