Ep by ep; Dead Men are Dangerous

Certainly the best ep of The New Avengers and possibly the best ever ep of The Avengers as a whole, just marvellous. Much as I love Steed you feel that it must be galling to have ever been in competition with him, here his best friend takes revenge on him for a lifetime of disappointment and inadequacy, it is simply SUCH a powerful ep, right down to the final line. Interestingly here we see the early Steed as a conventional Cold War spy, complete with gun, trenchcoat and flat cap, shooting his friend and producing possibly the only blood we ever see in the series. My only complaint for this ep is Purdey is once again the damsel in distress.
