A funny show,with moments of real pathos and personality amongst the broad humour.
Love the Tory neighbor,and George's references to his own working-class roots.

I agree entirely. There just don't seem to be enough episodes of it for me.

I also heard this is the most popular sit-com in Cuba. Apparently henpecked Cuba men relate to George.

In 2004, Brian Murphy said there had been plans for a 6th and final series to be recorded in 1980. He and Yootha had then planned to move on to other projects. The scripts had actually been written.

It was a lot of fun indeed. Yootha and Brian bounced off each other so effortlessly. Such a tragic loss when Yootha left us.
