Skating

Nobody had ever heard of skating before this episode of "Family" so only a few actors showed up as atmosphere

I thought everyone was into roller skating at that time. I know I was!!

Because the young girl who was skating wasn't really BUDDY.

You can tell it isn't her by the way that she can barely skate, whereas that other girl was skating and moving around the rink like a PRO.

And it's also cheaper and easier to film that scene without having to pay EXTRAS to be there or worry about putting up with regular people (who aren't actors) who might be there trying to HOG the camera in that scene.
