"Lay chickie for me"

That was so weird because I had no idea what that meant. It means to be someone's watch out.

That entire episode was so sad, but strange too as they never explained why Kate's mother, Hattie, didn't have bypass surgery and then was taking many different meds after she had a heart attack. My mother went through that a few years ago. She would have 'spells' like that as well before she had triple bypass.

Then they were simply going to send Hattie home alone to die alone until Willie said he would take her back and stay with her.

Also, they didn't say if Willie ended up with her farm as she wanted. I mean he obviously didn't stay there if he did get the place because he continued on in the series at their house in Pasadena. Maybe this was explained in a following episode that I haven't seen.

Willie inherited the farm, and went there, with Doug's encouragement, to continue his writing, as alluded to in a later segment--when the house was robbed.
