One of the last rated G programs of TV that emanated good inspirations, and positive messages. A whole different polarity from today's programs.

shareI was a pre-teen during the initial run of the Donny and Marie Show. This TV show along with Little House on the Prairie ruled the elementary school set. I just got the DVD from Netflix to watch the show again. I thought it would be corny and sappy as hell. It isn't. It's very entertaining. I know the words to most of the songs. Plus the siblings have great chemistry.
I can't remember when I last saw a TV program with this level of entertainment. Especially without half naked people running around.
It's interesting to see the body changes over the years. The women, including Marie, look line feminine, curvy women instead of the muscular, underfed look that's popular these days. The men aren't all defined and ripped but they still are masculine.
No two persons ever watch the same movie.share
