Angels never gained weight
It's amazing, for a show running 5 years. Jaclyn's bum looked a little bigger in season 5 but that's all I can think of. Anyone else?

shareCheryl looked just a teeny bit fuller but you basically have to play her first episode back to back with an episode like Angels in Hiding or Hula Angels (season 5) to notice any difference at all.
Let's face it, the angels all look terrific during and after the series.
Cheryl indeed look stockier by the end of the 5th season. At that point, she was in danger of being reprimanded for it. she seems like the only actress on the show who has to watch her weight

I would think it's more her "setpoint", as they call it , and genetics. She was never a size 2 before/after this show, but more like an everyday-woman.

You could say that Ladd was too thin during this time, yet if she gained, you can tell it would go to the wrong places.
shareThat is clearly untrue because they all DID "not overeat" because of that big ole paycheck.
Exactly.

4 packs a day to prevent overeating is what I heard on the board, or from another source. What Ladd was likely doing is putting each cigarette out before it was finished (some people save their cig, then re-light it), which would account for 4 packs.

Somehow in the next scene she was wearing white pants.
Cheryl's got some junk in the trunk there damn! I do remember a pre-Angels movie called Treasure Reef where she had still had some baby fat, being younger... a soft tummy like Scarlett Johansson in Lost In Translation! I did watch a very scuzzy VHs copy though, so who knows.
shareI think that we are so used to seeing the angels in super tight outfits that looser/pleated pants tend to make them look wider that normal to us. I think we saw the angels in them a little more often in later seasons.

Well, they were paid a lot of money to stay thin. If any one of them had gained a bunch of weight, say more than five pounds over the run of the show, they would have no doubt been shown the door and it would have probably sparked some big feminist debate about double standards in Hollywood.
Remember the big hoopla when Delta Burke gained a bunch of weight when she was on "Designing Women"? She remained on the show, but the producers basically ended up fat shaming her in so many ways and changing her character from "the sexy one" to "the big, fat, loud one" and creating much of the comedy on the show at her expense. No wonder she ended up quitting anyway.

The thing about that is as Delta/Suzanne put on weight she got funnier and funnier. The first season, she was very beautiful, but only marginally funnier than the other three women. But by the third and fourth seasons, almost everything Suzanne did was hilarious. In fact, Suzanne and Bernice are the only reasons why I will watch the show. Charlene was sweet and lovable and did a lot of cute things and Mary Jo was okay and Julia was a pain in the rear.

Don't forget back then their society was more physical. They ate much less fast food too. So keeping off weight was easier. We sit on the couch and play with computers more.
share This reminds me of an interview I read that Farrah Fawcett did while she was an Angel. She said that when she got home she maybe ate some chicken and a salad.
She went on to describe how her life was just as ordinary as everyone else's. Something like, "I eat a little dinner, maybe clean a room and go to sleep."
I remember thinking, "WHOA, you live with Lee Majors and you come home and CLEAN? Are ya nuts?"
Housework would be the LAST thing on my mind!
