"Angel Baby' goof..

I know plot holes are not an unusual thing, at all. But "Angel Baby", they take in Kelly at the home for expecting mothers. Really, wouldn't they have had a doctor examine Kelly at the very least? It's a good episode, but this oversight stands out.

Not only that, but they didn't know Kris from Adam, did no medical testing on her to find out if she was even fertile (she could have had a hysterectomy for all they knew!), and didn't appear to sign any complicated legal documents to assure that she would give up her blonde, blue eyed baby if she did get pregnant, they just sent her to meet Pretty Boy in a hotel room hoping she would conceive in one night and hand over a baby in nine months. What about genetic testing? Didn't they want to ensure the health of their $50,000 baby before it was conceived? What if she gave birth to a developmentally disabled baby? Would they tell her that the deal is off, keep the kid and forget about your money?

Stupid episode with very poor writing.

I didn't look that far into it, but you would be right.

I think the premise had a lot of potential, but the final result didn't live up to it. The best part, I thought, was either Sabrina's undercover assignment or Sabrina comforting Kris after Kris shot the bad guy. That could really do a number on somebody.

it's a bad episode actually since by 1976--there would be little need for these homes.....with legalized abortion and contraceptive access for minors.

Granted pregnancy non-discrimination was still rampant, but there were also sex-discrimination laws at least in public schools by 1972.

The script probably made sense to the writers etc of that generation but it's one of the 'dated' scripts which does not translate well today. We know that the girls do not 'have' to stay there.
