'Angel on the Line' theory...

I think the reason why Kelly gets all bent out of shape at the end is because for the first time in her charmed life, she comes across a man, i.e., "Margo", who not only does not respond to her feminine charms like she just assumes all men are going to, but harbors insane jealousy for her beauty. That Margo is just all kinds of screwy, and Kelly doesn't know which way is up. Talk about adding insult to injury! Lol!

Kelly, if you want to enter the traditional workforce, that's fine. Just expect that once in a while you're going to run into the likes of a Margo type and he/she WILL want to raid your lingerie drawer!

Let's hear it for women's lib!

Hips, hips, hooray!!!

Yup, yup -- men could be charmed, and women could be confided in. That was the order of things that Kelly believed like we believe the sky is blue. Not only was Margo a disrupter, s/he successfully intruded the sacred sisterhood with a cheap wig and some makeup you could buy at Walmart.

Hilarious! And so true!

Margo really rocked Kelly's world, didn't she?

I have to admit that when things were slow at work today, I envisioned this big intervention whereupon Bosley and the other two Angels and the court system forced Kelly to confront her demons by strongly encouraging her to befriend the troubled and jealous Margo.

"Kelly, sooner or later, you need to learn that not everybody is as beautiful and lucky as you have been, and towards the end of being a good samaritan, for the next 12 months, for your benefit as well as Margo's, the court has ordered that Margo take up residence in your spare bedroom. Over the course of a year, you will learn patience and tolerance and you will teach Margo everything you know about being a successful female."

I'm dying laughing at the thought of Margo chasing Kelly in circles around the kitchen table, wielding a spatula.

So Kelly was just jealous of Margo? Or are you saying that Kelly questioned her own sexuality because she was attracted to Margo when Margo was a man and not in drag?

reply

I don't think that Kelly was jealous of Margo or attracted to him when he was out of drag.

Kelly Garrett is a lovely, beautiful, feminine, charming, graceful, likeable and lovable woman. And "Beamish" aside, she really has had a charmed life. She has a great job, great friends. And as utterly gorgeous as soon Kelly is, women are not at all threatened by her. She's too sweet and too humble and too modest. They want to be her friend. They probably even feel protective of her. And she's sweet and pristine and totally feminine that she brings out the very best kind of chivalry from the most dashing, handsome man in the room.

Everybody loves Kelly Garrett. How could they not?

Then came Margo...

Margo, whom life has been anything but kind to. Poor Margo. Not bad looking as a man, but utterly hopeless as a woman. More than anything in the world, Margo, who comes onto the stage dressed like Big Bird, wants to be female, pretty, feminine and attractive to men. (She's dressed to kill!) And when she sees Miss Kelly Garrett waltz into the room and can have anything her heart desires and not even have to offer a smile for her troubles, Margo sees red.

Margo wants Kelly's blood spilled and Margo wants to be the one to do it.

So, Kelly, who really is so lucky and so blessed and charmed to have had men and women everywhere all over the world love her and adore her just for being her all her life, this renders her somewhat oblivious to certain realities of life... and, well, let's just say this attitude of Margo's has got poor Kelly a little verklempt...

This episode was on Me.TV today. It had to have been inspired by the movie 'Dressed to Kill' that was a huge hit at the time.

What was so funny is these three detectives couldn't tell Margo was a man in drag especially with that 5 o'clock shadow and deep voice.
