ANGELS TOURNAMENT !!!! ROUND 2 - Julie Vs Sabrina

Just for the fun of it, we'll do a ranking of all 6 angels.

Each time I randomly draw 2 angels and we can pick our favorite.

There's 3 criterions : beauty, professionalism/efficiency and character development.

Here is my pick :
- Beauty = Julie
- Professionalism = Sabrina
- Character = Julie
My vote goes to Julie

I know I'll probably be the only one with that vote 😂

Beauty-Sabrina, but only because I thought the hair color and makeup that they put on Tanya Roberts was garish and made her look like a clown. If we're talking Tanya vs. Kate then Tanya is more beautiful, but if we're talking Julie vs. Sabrina then Sabrina looked a lot more naturally beautiful on this series, IMHO.

Professionalism-Sabrina. Well, duh. Julie was a professional model, Sabrina was a graduate of the police academy. 'Nuff said.

Character-Sabrina, because Kate was a far better actress and because she was around for three years and had time to actually develop her character. Julie was a pretty one dimensional character and never had the chance to grow because she was only around for one season. I felt like I knew Sabrina and she was an integral part of the group, whereas with Julie it felt like she was someone who was just hanging around temporarily to fill the third spot.

LOL. That's funny, horizonbeach. Yes, as much as I really like Julie Rogers, she didn't strike me as the most professional individual in the room. My friend and I dubbed her the "Stoner Angel". While the other Angels were running around opening locked doors with bobby pins, Julie would be in the alley, passing around a joint with a couple of good-natured goofballs. Then, during the climatic scene, when Kris and Bosley are squealing their tires, coming to Kelly's rescue, Julie can be seen in the background, standing on the corner, eating a chilli dog and tapping her foot to some imaginary beat.

God loves Julie Rogers!

Beauty = Sabrina. Both Sabrina and Julie are beautiful, but if forced to choose, I choose Sabrina.

Professionalism = Sabrina. Sabrina was the best detective. She was the standard for the others.

Character = Sabrina. Sabrina was the most complex, deepest, and unique character on the show, in my opinion.

Sabrina wins.

Beauty: Julie
Professionalism: Sabrina
Character: Sabrina

Winner: Sabrina.

Nevertheless, I prefer Julie. Although garish, she exuded significantly more sexuality than did Sabrina.

So who your vote goes to ?

reply

I think it goes to Sabrina, since three people responded with three answers each and eight out of nine answers were Sabrina.

I feel like I kind of threw Julie under the bus, but she was just such a last minute, poorly written, "Oh, crap, the ratings are really slipping, let's throw in some skin" addition to the show that it's hard to take her seriously as an Angel in a way. Like, what did she really contribute to the show except for looking good in a bikini?

reply

All right. I agree with you. I chose her because even if she was just some skin...what a view ! !!

I'll wait for 1 or 2 more votes and I'll do the third round, since the board is soon closing.

Beauty:Kris, Professionalism:Sabrina, Character: Kelly. Vote Kris.

Beauty:Kris, Professionalism:Sabrina, Character: Kelly. Vote Kris.

reply

Hum....OK. ...But this round doesn't include Kris and Kelly at all.
Kris already won round 1 against Jill.

reply

Whaaaat?!!! Kris won over Jill? Blasphemous!

Since the board is going to close soon, let's move on already to the next tournament.

Sabrina wins
the second round 5-1

Sabrina Duncan all the way! Kate Jackson was the only true actress on the show. And she created the Sabrina character herself. The writers had other ideas but Kate did the right thing and created an unconventional character that was irreplaceable.
