I liked this show
Wasn't it on versus "Happy Days? That gave it no chance to survive. NBC in the 70's was pretty bad, anyway.
shareProbably was in some hell-hole time slot, but it seems the great Mr. Rickles never had the broad appeal to make any series last for long.
shareTo help boost the ratings Mr. Rickles should have brought in his buddy Don Adams to help with the ratings out some how. That would have been great to see!

One can't fully appreciate Don Rickles on Broadcast TV. His Act is much too ribald and it would be pulled, after the first joke. That's pretty much why he doesn't do TV, except for Guest Shots. He's too good for the Medium to show it.
Yes it was a great show to watch and I remember my parents enjoying watching this when I was like 4 years old. I have seen Don Rickles appear in a variety of TV shows back during the 70's and I believe also in the early 80's.
