Was there much actual sex?

I haven't seen this since it was originally shown, but it's being re-made, probably with a lot more explicit nooky than in the mid-70s. As I recall, there was much discussion of sex, but we never actually saw any! People were usually lying in bed in a post-coital relaxed position, the lady with the sheet pulled up demurely over her naughty bits! It was advertised as very saucy to get a big audience, but was actually quite a well-acted & literate piece of TV (as least as I recall, but of course distance often lends enchantment). It was well-acted too.
