Would you be accepting of Jaime died in season 2 of SMDM?

I'm glad that they resurrected the character and she got her own show because she became an icon of 1970s pop culture. The three reunion movies though I could happily do without.

I would have never known she existed. I started watching The Bionic Woman having never seen an episode of SMDM.

Well, of course we would have never had the spin-off series if the character had died. That said, I was a huge Six Million Dollar Man fan (still am), but didn't really have much interest in The Bionic Woman. It's nothing against Lindsay Wagner (who did play a very likable character), mind you, but rather that I wanted the character of Steve Austin to be so unique .... that he would be the only bionic man in existence (e.g. of course for the brief bionic powers of the so-called seven million dollar man, Barney). Every time they added another bionic character (bionic woman, bionic boy, bionic dog) it took away from Steve Austin's uniqueness. Just saying ..............

As for the movies which came later, they still could have done movies with just Steve Austin and Oscar Goldman. It's unfortunate that the producers of these made for t.v. movies were too focused on introducing new bionic characters and didn't understand that the fans wanted to see a much awaited reunion movies of the original characters, with the focus of these movies being on the original characters. I rarely watch the movies because they are just so bad. On the other hand, I can't get enough of the original SMDM series though !!!
