I remember this miniseries well, it had many big-name stars, but the one I fell in love with was Amy Tivell (it was Amy, NOT Ann) as Juanita Nunez, the girl who falls for MIles (Timothy Bottoms). Yet apparently this is the ONLY role she ever played! I can't believe that. Anyone know any more about her?

shareAmy Tivell was previously known as Amy Leavitt, and she had a nice role on the soap opera "ONE LIFE TO LIVE" back in the day.
If memory serves correctly; on the soap she was the daughter of a doctor and had a weight problem to which she stole her doctor/fathers prescription pad to get the prescriptions filled so that she could lose weight. She became addicted to the pills, and the cast/crew of ONE LIFE TO LIVE actually filmed footage at a rehab facility in New York as part of the storyline of her attempting to kick her addiction.
So when I watched the Moneychangers I was looking for the name Amy Leavitt but did not see it(this was before the days of the vcr).
So with the release of this great mini-series finally being out and on dvd, I will get to enjoy it time and time again.
