Continuity Problem?

Near the end of the movie, at about the 77 minute mark, when Bobby and Rose drive up and park with her son left in the car, they are not driving the red Camaro? I am correct in that assumption? Does anyone else have a comment about the car swap?

He gets the car painted at Earl Sheibs in a black primer while Rose is getting her kid.
And that why later the cops find the kid in a black Camaro. No car swap!
