Pronunciation of Yakuza
A while back I asked about the correct pronunciation of Yakuza when Kill Bill came out. I always heard it pronounced as in this movie. Today, the Kill Bill style of pronounciation totally dominates.
What say people now?
Yak'za, kind of gloss over the U. We tend to accent the middle of Japanese words (yaKUza, suZUki, saSHImi, kaTAna, kaRAte, baBUki), but it should just be the same stress all the way across.
