Shoot American rifles, Mr. President

When Roosevelt is out shooting with his family and Secretary Hay comes calling, we see the president shooting, among other rifles, a British Martini Henry. Along with his American Winchester, he should have been firing a Sharps 1874.

IMHO, of course. 

OK so the Sharps was approved for use by the US, want to go with something similar to the Martini Henry and in service at the same time as the Martini, You'd go with the Trapdoor Springfield, which was still in use during the more recent (in the Film)Spanish American war
