Exciting at times, but not very good overall

The Wilby Conspiracy is okay.

The last 30 minutes is thrilling, the first hour is boring and sloppily made. The music in the pit scene is very good.

Things don't make sense in this film. The evil portrayal of the "Apartheid police state" is so overdone it is comical.

There are two very striking actresses in this film. One is Prunella Gee, and the other is an Indian goddess named Persis Khambatta, who is one of the most beautiful women I have seen in a lifetime.

This isn't nearly the best film that any of these actors were in. I don't recommend it.

I mostly agree with you in the sense that it has its moments, but is not that good of a movie overall. I would recommend it if you like buddy movies, Michael Caine or Sidney Poitier though. It is exiting enough to watch, even though pretty flawed in a lot of ways.

Um, that's how it was in South Africa. How else did they keep Apartheid intact? It's why their government were hated for so long. In fact, the intelligence agency that Williamson belonged to in the film (which was indeed called BOSS in real life) was so vile that it was replaced five years after this movie's release. They used death squads and arranged for assassinations of anti-Apartheid activists.
