Saw this as a kid

And I was so politically unaware, I did not even realize that apartheid was actually happening in South Africa! It's a pretty good movie.

I eventually ended up living in South Africa for a few years, about 7-8 years after the end of apartheid and I loved the country and the people. The majority of whites I met were not racist but were actually glad that apartheid was over. It's a terrible thing to see, even if you aren't the ones doing the oppression.
