W.W. and The Dixie Dancekings

Hi,

My husband and I have been looking for this movie for years,we adore it and think that it's the funniest movie that Burt Reynolds ever made!!!...evidently,Burt doesn't feel the same way since he NEVER mentions this movie on his website,on talkshows or when he's being interviewed!...any one know where we can buy either the VHS version or the DVD?...we went to many video stores to rent it and came up with ZILCH!!!...any info on this?..anyone?

Thanks in advance,

Mary

I, too, have been looking for a copy of this movie for years. It is really one of the more "fun" movies around...nothing to take seriously, just a few yucks...
anyone out there?

I've been looking for this movie because a guy in my hometown runs a karaoke business and he was playing in a band in this film apparently. We've been wanting to score a copy to give him as a gift.

"Kid, don't threaten me. There are worse things than death, and I can do all of them."

I saw this film when I was a child and I remember that we had a recorded copy of it for some years. I too have been trying to buy this film but to no avail. Did you ever find out where you could obtain a copy of it. I am pretty sure I have a copy of it in my loft but dont have a spare three weeks to start looking. I am from the UK by the way.

I too saw this movie on it's release back in '75. As a 14 yr old boy I thought it was great. I'd love to find a copy. Anyone know why 20th Century isn't releasing it?

reply

Why hasn't it been released? I bet it's because Hound Dog by Elvis is played when Reynolds pulls up at the drive-in. Estate probably wants more than what the company can profit from by releasing it.

As someone else posted Fox Movie Channel is your best bet. They air it fairly often.
