I spent a very fun afternoon on the set of this film in spring 1974 in downtown Nashville. I watched Art Carney and Burt Reynolds film a scene outside the Life and Casualty tower. I remember Burt stayed in his trailer until he was needed and a group of girls screamed every time he came out. I spent a lot of time that day talking to the film's stunt coordinator, who turned out to be the future director of Smokey and the Bandit
