This is classic 70's french moviemaking

I saw this movie in Europe when it was first released. It is atmospheric and downright psychologically creepy. The scene when Philip Noiret burns the German officer through a one way mirror that bends and eventually explodes from the heat is my favorite scene ever, I never forgot it.
