Ezra77,
"My name is Mike. I have been searching far and wide for a copy of the movie The Ufo Incident from 1975, starring James Earl Jones. I have searched E-bay and Amazon with no success. Would you be willing to sell me a copy of your movie? I'd like for it to be on VHS tape. I'd greatly appreciate it."

There seems to be some legal issues to clear up between the agents of the estates of Betty and Barney Hill (now both deceased), author John G. Fuller who wrote the original book "The Interrupted Journey" (1965) of this astounding true story, and Universal Studios-TV so a DVD can be released.
Who knows when this will all be sorted out? This was a milestone film on the subject of the first known case of alien abduction in America (1961) and its repercussions as psychiatrist Benjamin Simon attempts to make sense of the fantastic details in this case. The performances, script, direction, and production values are all first-rate. James Earl Jones and Estelle Parsons should have both been nominated for Emmy Awards for their acting abilities. It is said that even Steven Spielberg was influenced by this film in his making of his epic CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE 3RD KIND (1977).
I hope we don't have to wait too long for a high-quality digital DVD transfer of this excellent movie!

When did Betty Hill die? She appeared in UFO-related specials as recently as the late-1990s. I remember seeing her on TV.
shareBetty Hill, the Grandmother of UFOlogy, passed away October 17, 2004, at the age of 85. Betty struggled with cancer for over a year prior to that.
Barney Hill, her husband, died in 1969.
