Saw this before with another movie. Marvelous?!?!

I saw Trilogy of Terror (great movie) along with an unknown movie way back in the early 1980's when I was very young. In Florida, on vacation, this movie was being played along with Trilogy of Terror, but I'm not sure if the story I'm about to describe was part of another trilogy itself or all on its own.

Specifics are vague since it was so long ago, but it seemed like it could have been "made for TV", shot sort of soap-opera style. I'm pretty sure the story took place in a hotel and there were a couple checked in who would become the "victims". The most memorable part which will click with anyone who has seen it is that every so often the hotel manager, desk person, and workers would put their clasped hands with both index fingers pointing upwards and placed at their chins or lips and say "MARVELOUS".

In addition I believe the couple tries to escape by opening the front door only to find a giant eyeball looking in at them. I'm not positive on this part, though.

It was creeepy, but memorable. And not really scary due to being shot soap-opera style. Our family used that "marvelous" catch phrase for some time after seeing that. For years and years I have been trying to find out what the name of that movie was. (Searching "marvelous" through the IMDB keyword search gave no results.)

Thanks for any help!
