EVIL DEAD II + GREMLINS - Anyone Catch...

...how Sam Rami and Steven Spielberg/Chris Columbus OBVIOUSLY saw this film before they made Evil Dead 2 and Gremlins?

I never caught it until I watched the third segment from Trilogy Of Terror last night for what must have been the first time in almost 15 years.

Rami directly 'stole/paid tribute to' the camera tracking shots and scene where she's trying to get the evil doll off of her hand when it's biting her (seen in Evil Dead 2) and Spielberg/Columbus did the same with putting the doll in the oven (they put the Gremlin in the microwave in Gremlins). Great stuff.

Yes I couldn't help but think of them especiallys when she throws the doll into the lamp, for some reason.
