There was a film in the early/mid seventies about a family (man/wife/toddler) who move into a "modern day house"(smart house now) with all of the latest ameneties, and the house and it's technology seems to take a life of it's own and start to terrorize the family. The house ends up taking the toddler, and turning it into an an extension of it's being, the kids looks like a little bronze statue with hundreds of cracks in it. Does anyone know what this movie is? I was so very young when I saw it, but it is one of the films that has stuck with me since I was a child, the other being the original "Carrie". Can someone please help? Thanks

Some of that sounds like Demon Seed?

sounds like 'DEMON SEED', but the woman is impregnated by the computer, then produces a kid w/ a 'shell', who looks up and in the computer's voice says 'I LIVE!"
