How old were you when you first saw this?

The reason I ask, I saw it in college, in the dorm and we, being a bit older, found it funny, especially the 3rd story. People who saw it as kids, were really scared I imagine?

I was 7 or 8. I made the mistake of walking through the living room when my parents were watching it during the doll scene.

Scared the living *beep* outta me.

I was 10 when I watched it during its first run on TV. Holy crap did that doll scare me and my brother who was two years older than me. I haven't seen it since but I'm sure if I watched it now I would probably have some mixed emotions. On the one hand I would still be a little jolted knowing the effect it initially had on me, but on the other hand I may look at it and shake my head at how primitive the special effects were and wonder why I feel for it so easily. But if I had to guess to my reaction I'd say mostly the former.

I was 17. I asked for a copy on DVD for Christmas that year because I heard a lot about it and wanted to see it. It didn't disappoint. I still watch it once or twice yearly.

on Halloween on a rerun I was 6 years old. I tried to act brave in front of my older cousins... Karen Black squatting banging that knife on floor and her eyes haunted me for YEARS!!!

22: 1975 was my college graduation year. Ah, the 70s were the heyday for great schlocky TV movies!

I was 9 when I saw this on TV. I only remember the third story and it scared me pretty good. My parents sent me to bed as soon as it was over and I was still pretty scared. I distinctly remember trying to convince myself that I was brave. As I was standing beside my bed about to climb in, our pet cat who was underneath said bed decided it was a good time to claw my bare foot. Im pretty sure I did a flip before landing on the bed!

I was 6, and I don't know if anyone remembers but those damn "Trolls" were popular for the first time. My aunt, who was 16, kept horrifying me with it while we were watching it. It gave me nightmares for years!! Long live Karen Black ...
