How come the album (not the movie soundtrack) says "I think '21 is going to be a good year" but in the movie they say "I think '51 is going to be a good year"? 51 makes more sense. It is after the war, albeit 6 years. Col. Walker may have been lost for that long. '21 is before WWII.

shareOne of the things the change did was actually fix a problem with the original album's timeline. In the song "Sally Simpson" there's a reference to a "rock star", an impossibility if the rock and roll era hadn't happened yet. The change to 1951 makes that line work.
