Martin Sheen was hot in this movie

My fav scene was the one where they were kissing and she asks him if he is "getting all steamed up" and he just nods yes. The expression on his face was so sexy, he's been a favorite actor of mine ever since.

Linda Blair is even hotter..

Yes, he was very hot in this movie. He looked his best during this time. (mid 70's)

Not being a girl, or interested in men, I cannot say weather or not Martin Sheen was HOTT in this movie. But like the other poster, I can say that Linda Blair was indeed VERY HOTT in this movie. She was just so young and innocent, and simply beautiful.

That's one of my favorite scenes, too. Just his gruff, throaty "yes" and then a fade out until the next morning. She asks "Are you OK?" and he replies lazily, "Yeah. You?" It shows that a scene can be romantic and sexy without nudity or close-up tongue action.

Beautiful film full stop. You don't get anything like that nowadays. The scene you mentioned was played so innocently that you could let a child of any age watch the film and see what a great storyline and acting is.

I definately agree - I just watched the extras for Catch Me if You Can where Sheen is praising the director for Badlands so I've watched both these on You Tube and I definately enjoyed this one alot more - he's wildly entertaining with his poetry, accents, gestures. . . very hot
I'm hoping to find a cheap copy of Cassandra's Crossing

The Martin Sheen character was so cool! I have never seen another film where the main character is a modern person who prefers "speaking in poems".

Also, I have never imagined that the Exorcist girl was so hot in her teens. She was really some "Sweet Hostage"!

Would "Sweet Hostage" even get made today? It portrays the mentally ill in a negative light. And it romanticizes the relationship between a kidnapper and his hostage. It seems so incredibly unrealistic. The kidnapper looked like a movie star. And his hostage was gorgeous. I guess if I want reality I should not watch old made for TV movies.
