Just saw it

Mr. Matthau's role is perfect. I was exhausted just watching him yell, bicker, scream and fight with George Burns. That was the performance of a lifetime. I think that it was extremely deserving of a win but very glad it was nominated by the Academy at least. The character has so many layers, from senility to dementia weaving in and out of very lucid states that it impressed me so much. Mr. Matthau's acting is effortless.
