When will there be a decent DVD/Blu-Ray?

I'm surprised that no company in North America has invested in making a restored version of this film in true 16:9 quality with either dual audio tracks or seperate U.S./Japanese versions. What's the deal with the rights? It seems like all we're getting is bargain basement non-anamorphic prints from budget labels.
