Why no PAL release?

'Smile' is a forgotten little 70s gem, and I strongly recommend if you like classic satires, as opposed to just 'spoofs'. I can't help but wonder, since other US-centric films like Ritchie's own 'The Candidate' have been released outside of the US, why not this?

Surely, a company like Eureka, Arrow or Second Sight would be ideal for this task.

It came and went from US theaters in 1975, IIRC it was on broadcast TV by 1976. Sort of a cult movie here in the US, it's probably virtually unknown in Europe.
