What was identified as a swastika is in fact called a manji. As was mentioned in a later post it is facing the opposite way of the symbol used by the Nazis. Pointing to the left (as in this movie) it symbolizes love and compassion. Pointing to the right (as used by the Nazis)it represents intellect and power. Until recently it was used as a symbol of shorinji kempo practioners in Asian nations. There is absolutely NO connection between shorinji kempo and the Nazis!

the swatiska itself has many different forms and shapes and has been used throught recorded history. We now associate it with extreme evil, but others who have studied history also know that at points far int eh past it wass used for extreme good.

As human beings I think we shouldnt place so much empahasis on symbols and place morte emphasis on the people around us.
