Amitabh, Dharmendra, Sanjeev Kumar, Jaya Bhaduri, Hema Malini and DANNY... (There was no Amjad Khan - can you imagine what the movie would have turned out to be)

What was the original Name for the film - hint - it was similar to a 1950's BR Chopra's film... ?

The original name that was thought of was "SHOLE" same as a BR Chopra's Shole 1953 not SHOLAY - since "SHOLE" looked very timid and punney... they changed it to SHOLAY
