My thoughts

In forth grade I watched this in school while studing the Oregon Trail and I have to say that I really enjoyed it, so I was shocked when some ten years later I saw it on a library shelf. Watching it now I do see some plot holes and issues with acting, but all in all I think that its a great film, I really enjoyed it then and I love it now. The idea of these children (whoever may be playing them) alone on the trail facing all of these dangers is fascinating to me. Maybe its because I'm an only child but I love that idea of sibling unity and strength. Its never going to be an oscar nominated drama but its great for late afternoon entertainment.
