Scooby-Doo

To this day, I think Scooby-Doo had an oddly powerful enhancing effect for me with this flick.

What I mean is, I was a Scooby fan at the time, so the "natural explanations" made all the sense in the world to me in this movie, and seemed to wrap up the storyline so neatly precisely because I'd been conditioned to believe, like the Scooby gang, that there was a reasonable explanation for everything.

The vanishing cross just seemed like a cute punchline.

Then after the commercial break ... holy cow!

Anyway, it's still one of my favorite sucker-punches in all of moviedom
