Real violence?
How did they do the eye gouging and scalping scene?

wait... did you actually think they scalped the girl for real and cut that guy's eye out? LOL
they were well able to do special effects back then too you know ;)
I just couldn't tell how in 1975 especially they would be able to pull it off realistically, and for it still to.
I was just really surprised and I wanna know. As not many films back then still have effects that hold up
Yeah I admit they were really good for the time! Especially the scalping. The eye is a little easy to tell it was fake, but still very good.
But think about it this way, Star Wars came out around that time and it had awesome special effects too :) Sure not the same as today, but they were able to make some great stuff with the means they had ^^
Lol. They used stunt doubles that were expendable
shareGet the BFI version of the dvd plenty of examples of the filming.
