Caveman, Ben Franklin + Knight Left in Snowballs!!

I love this movie....it is so absurd, but very fun to watch. Except for that "It's Raining Sunshine" song by the caveman - that one bugs the hell out of me. But I love seeing Rankin/Bass's animagic versions of the fairy tales and nursery rhymes on the island of 1023. Anyway, when Eon encases Rudolph, Ben Franklin, OM and Sir 1023 into snowballs - Rudolph uses his nose to break out of the snowball, and then immediately rushes up to Eon's nest, leaving his poor friends frozen in frozen balls.....Harsh!!

I thought he freed them later? It's been a while since I saw this TV special.

He did free them later, and initially left them only due to the urgency of getting the baby new year away from Eon.

He certainly did not free them! Eon started laughing, fell off the side of the mountain, and landed on the three frozen friends, shattering their snowy coffins and setting them free. I'm sure he would have, but I just thought it was funny that he left them there, encased in snowballs.

Rudolph is always leaving his friends in danger. He is a kind of jerk that way. Remember he leaves his friends on Toy Island as soon as there is danger as well.
