I wonder if when this show was originally made, they knew it would be shown every year - and well into the 2000's.

Probably not.

I'm going to say they didn't.

Shows from Bewitched to Dark Shadows didn't think they would be airing half a century later and counting.

I remember we always noted the 19 Wonderful and wondered if they would try to change something in 2000. Well, we got our answer. LOL!

I always took the 19 wonderful to mean they didn't have a exact year the story was supposed to take place.
