music from royal flash

During the movie everytime they come to dramatic moment they play a few bars of music. Does anyone know if its Mozart, Beethoven, or Wagner? I'm probably wrong on all guesses, but I would like to know the name of the piece. Please can any-one Help?

It's almost all Wagner, mostly preludes and overtures. I remember hearing the Flight of the Valkyries, Rienzi, Flying Dutchman, Siegfried's Funeral March, and several others. I think Eine Faust Overture was in there.

Hello - thanks for the musical information! Does anyone know the name of the polka used in Royal Flash?

When they go out to hunt boar, the music is the Dance (or Procession) of the Apprentices from Wagner's Die Meistersaenger von Nuernberg.

The traditional name for one piece is Ride of the Valkyries, not Flight, although it is very much the same thing. Their horses rode through the air.

Near the end of the film, when Flashy meets up with Lola again, the music is from Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet, a melody which was once turned into a popular song "Our Love".

The film ends with the Prelude to Act III of Wagner's Lohengrin. In the opera, this prelude almost immediately precedes the melody we know as "Here Comes the Bride".

Haha! Fun to see this average response-time of about 8-10 months per post xD.
