This was a good movie!

John Wayne and Katherine Hepburn were great in it. It could have been better but it was a treat seeing these two great stars in a movie together. It is a shame they couldn't have made some movies together when they were younger.

This was always my favourite John Wayne film, as a kid I'd beg my dad to put Rooster (As I called it) on. I'm not a huge Western fan, I usually find them quite slow and boring, but this is a fast Adventure film.

Guess in a way Western isn't a genre but a setting I.E they are all different genres some are thrillers, some are dramas, some are comedys etc.

I agree- I'm not a big fan of Westerns either, but I like this one. Okay... I like True Grit too.
I really liked the two of them together on screen & the word around the "campfire" is that John & Katharine really enjoyed working together.

Wayne and Hepburn were diametrically opposed on the political scale. I’m not sure the chemistry between them would have worked in their younger, less mellow years.

I like this film more than True Grit. It would be nothing without Wayne and Hepburn but they work so well together, absolutely hilarious most of the time and also very moving at the end.

I fully agree. I'm not much into westerns; however, I think this one is wonderful. Wayne and Hepburn scenes are priceless.
