When I think cult films, this incredibly strange film comes to mind.

One of the products of the very creative Boomer generation, it's like is not to be seen anytime soon.

That is Star Wars, for sure. Before you dismiss that, remember that SW was expected to fail in theaters when released by George himself and was considered a nerd appeal movie for decades.

I imagine they expected/hoped to make money, Starwars costed $11million fifty years ago. That is a very large sum of money to throw away.

I suspect all studio films want to make money. including rocky horror, but Star Wars was undeniably a cult film.
