Where in Georgia was this filmed?

OK,I read that this movie was filmed in Georgia, but in what county?
One scene appeared to be filmed at Sweetwater State Park in Douglas county and the courthouse in the one town appears to be similar to the courthouse in Buchanan,Georgia.

Most of this movie was filmed in Forsyth and Monroe County, Georgia. The hamburger joint in the film was originally a NuWay Weiners restaurant on the corner of E. Johnston and Adams streets. It became a Buddy's restaurant and eventually Michael's Pizza. The building was torn down last week to make way for a new bank. Many locals in Forsyth remember the movie company being in town.

Thanks for setting me straight on the location of the hamburger joint, i thought all this time the hamburger joint was in Barnesville,GA ... do you know the location of the store ''Bowdoins grocery'' where the crazy girl pulled a gun and shot the bubble gum machine?

Bowdoins Grocery still exists. It is located in Juliette, Georgia and is still run by the Bowdoin family. The bridge for the race scene is also in Juliette. Juliette is 10 miles east of Forsyth off Hwy 75, exit 186. Other movies shot in Juliette:
Fried Green Tomatoes 1991 (half of the movie)
Fried Green Tomorrows 2006 (most of the movie)
The Killing Affair 1986 (most of the movie)
Cockfighter [aka Born to Kill] 1974 (small indoor cockfight arena scenes)
Tuskegee Airmen 1995 (one day and one night scene)

Do you actually see your family members during the film? And your car?

To buy the movie, type the title in a search engine, plus type in "vhs" or "dvd", etc (which ever you're looking for). That should get you to some offers if you're able to pay on line for it.
