Any word yet on the cast for the remake? Some on here say this film was better with older characters than it would be with younger ones ( which the remake will probably have) well i guess having older characters made it more realistic since not many people my age can afford an RV unless they come from a rich family.

shareI was surprised when the Warren Oates character mentioned that his RV was worth $36,000 and that was back in 1976. I didn't realize they were so expensive. They probably cost as much as a decent house today.
shareI would like to see the remake keep the cast about the same age as the original. A middle aged couple and a little bit younger of a couple. I've thought about this and don't know who I'd cast. I just hope the director that was attached, Chris Moore is no longer going to be doing it.

i really hope they make it a middle age cast, i believe the movie would work better with more mature stars, although the current trend these days is to have a teenage cast so i'm not holding out much hope.

I wonder if the remake is dead. I haven't heard anything or read anything about it in three years or so. I love the original but if done right I think a remake could be very good. Let's face it, no one will see the original anymore if a remake is not made.
