What happened to them, were they burnt at the end, or did the satanists manage to save them getting burnt?

shareHas anyone considered the possibility that the witches went after them only to make them return the books they stole from the library?!!! LOL
shareThat's what I thought the whole time. Sure, steal the books... But it'll come back at you ninefold.
shareThe next guy they will be racing from is this guy from Seinfeld:

Haha! I saw this movie as a kid (yes, it was on early "cable" which means we saw it 6 times in one month), and yes, it always did bother me about the library books! To me, gasp!!! stealing books from the library was soooo bad, hehe. No wonder the cult people were after them.
They should have added an epilogue post credits.... "Give us back the books!" "Pay the $1.35 fine!!" "Ok... off you go!"
"As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a gangster"
"Has anyone considered the possibility that the witches went after them only to make them return the books they stole from the library?!!! LOL "
maybe
They are charged a nickel a day fine for each book, throwing both families into Chapter 13....
shareI had a suspicion about that librarian. I thought she was part of the cult and used the "These are reference books" line just so they wouldn't catch on to their evil schemes. If my suspicion is right, she was probably part of the ritual at the end and gathered the missing books herself.
Burn, witch! Burn, witch! Burn! Burn! Burn!
