Agree. Just watched it for the first time in about 30 years and still found it a great, tense thriller.
shareAbsolutely. This is one of my favorite horror films of all time. It is thoroughly intriguing all the way through and has a wonderfully creepy atmosphere. I have seen it 3 or 4 times and it never loses any of it's effect.

I totally agree, it deserves a higher rating. Also, I think that Leonard Maltin was very unfair in his review. In his movie guide book he gave it *1/2 stars and says "It takes quite a human sacrifice to sit through this hybrid car chase/horror film." I have to admit I like the humor behind that quip, but I strongly disagree with the opinion.
