Why were the construction guy and butcher killed?

In his mind they probably deserved it,even if i couldn't figure out why the construction guy was killed.

The 'construction guy' was actually his lawyer, whom he believed did a less than stellar job defending him. Over the years his lawyer did pretty well for himself and was having a building built, which is why he was at the construction site. In one scene he was complaining about the lettering on the corner stone, the same stone that was used to flatten him.

As far as the butcher, I believe he was a member of the jury which convicted him.
