Who thinks the doll in this movie was scary as hell?

Well i do, he's very much creepy and would give your kids the chills! this devilish bastard makes Chucky look like an angel.

He definitely ranks with the "Poltergeist" clown doll, Fats the evil dummy from "Magic", Blade from "Puppet Master", Billy the doll from "Saw" and the Zuni Doll from "Trilogy of Terror" of being one of the scariest evil dolls to hit the screen, anyone else agrees?

The way it appears also is very startling, you SO don't expect that at all. Definitely one of the scariest moments of the film.

I totally agree, I don't think many moments were scary but that part genuinely creeped me out!

I've seen a lot of evil dolls recently: Saw I, II, III, Chucky (of course!), The Twilight Zone (The Dummy and Talking Tina), Dead of Night etc So I think dolls scare me less now, still the doll in Profondo Rosso was little scary. It came perfect.

That thing just was running at him, and I thought it was a midget (pardon my lack of care for politically correctness) I went to school with a midget for 7 years, and I never thought they were creepy, but lately I have found them more and more scary. You don't expect a midget to come running at you. Or a doll, i don't know any dolls that can run on their own...

Scary Dolls:
Dead Silence
Dolls
Puppet Master series
Poltergeist
SAW series
Child's play series

there is this really bad movie about dolls that I have seen... where there is an all girl band locked in an electrode shock cage being forced to play... and omg... it was sooo bad...
oh! Blood Dolls!!! DON'T WATCH IT!

Yeah, I reckon the creepy nature of the doll and the element of surprise make that scene really effective. Only Argento could conjure up something as bizarre and random as that.

It was an amazing moment of suspense. You expect the killer to come in, and instead a walking doll burst into the room. It's so unexpected! The timing was perfect.

This world is a comedy to those that think, a tragedy to those that feel.
