the real Jill Kinmont

Does anyone know what the real Jill Kinmont is doing now, where she lives and what she looks like? Is there anything about her on the internet?

Funny you should ask - just jumped on here to research Jill - remember this story from a long time ago. Jill is still alive and yes - lots of sites on her - here's one that I found interesting. http://www.jkbs.org/aboutjill.htm

Hope you enjo!

I don't know what she's doing NOW, but when I attended Hawthorne Elementary School in Beverly Hills between 1967-1973, she was the Special Ed teacher there.

Hi Mandalore,

Jill is still very active in our community (Bishop, California). She attends church most Sundays at First United Methodist here in Bishop (it's right next to Bishop High school), so I see her at least once a week, usually. She's as inspirational as ever. She continues to paint; mostly in watercolor. Her paintings are for sale at our local swap meet, during Mule Days (our annual Memorial Day town celebration), and around the county. She does have a continuation school named in her honor, the Jill Kinmont Booth Community School. It's for troubled youth, and is located on Line Street in Bishop. I think someone posted a link in this thread.

Hope that helps.

Far out that someone here knows Jill personally - are her paintings for sale on the Internet?

Thanks,
